A laureate of major international competitions—including the Santa Cecilia, Conero, American Classical Pianist, London Youth Piano, And Shanghai Piano Competitions—Andrew earned his Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he also received the LRAM teaching licentiate. His artistic excellence and contribution to the field have been formally recognised through his endorsement by the UK government and Arts Council England as a Global Talent – Exceptional Talent concert pianist.
Andrew’s performance career spans leading venues and festivals across Europe, America and Asia. He has collaborated extensively with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, performing French repertoire by Debussy and Ravel at the Suzhou Jinji Lake Concert Hall. At the Shanghai Conservatory Opera House, he appeared in the Shanghai Contemporary Music Festival, premiering several significant contemporary works for piano and orchestra. His engagements also include performances with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra at the Oriental Art Center, solo recitals at Steinway Hall Shanghai, and invitations to the historic Shanghai Spring International Music Festival. He has additionally appeared at Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Duke’s Hall London, the Wuxi Grand Theater, and other major International stages.
Andrew studied under Prof. Colin Stone and Mei-Ting Sun, and has refined his artistry in masterclasses with eminent musicians such as Christopher Elton, Adrian Brendel, Yevgeny Sudbin, Hung-Kuan Chen, and Ian Fountain—receiving consistent praise for his musical insight and performance depth.
Beyond the concert platform, Andrew is active as an educator, scholar, and artistic mentor. He served on the piano faculty at Jiangnan University’s Music Department, contributing to major pedagogical and performance initiatives. His students have been admitted to internationally renowned conservatories and have appeared at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in New York.
Andrew is also invited regularly to serve on juries for both national and international competitions, including the American Golden Key Music Festival Piano Competition and the Steinway Piano Competition. His academic writings have been published in journals such as China Music Education Conference and Northern Music. In recognition of his contributions to music outreach and public arts initiatives, he received the Music Public Welfare Marathon Honorary Certificate from the President of Steinway Asia Pacific.
